Hey everyone,

After my guest mix earlier in the year (March 2011), I've kindly been given another opportunity to share another 2 hours of my favourite scores from modern film, television and video games. With 35 cues in total from 25 films, this is an eclectic mix of beautiful electronica from epic strings and action cues, to more mellow minimalist pieces spanning the last 25 years or so. As was the case with my first mix, this is a very personal mix, with many of my childhood favourites which first sparked my love for film music such as Casper, Home Alone and Jurassic Park (still makes the hairs on the back of my neck tingle!) and I'm also thrilled to include a track by one of my favourite bands of the past 10 years, Libera (actually a boys choir from South London) which rounds off the mix. Innuendo Guest Mix - Cinematics Show on Frisky Radio [March 2011]

Hey everyone,

What a pleasure to be invited to create a 2-hour guest mix for one of my favourite shows on one of my favourite stations! For those who don't know, Innuendo is my alter ego consisting of melodic downtempo electronica and uplifting soundscapes. I'm a huge fan of film scores/soundtracks and this mix is an eclectic collection of my favourite score pieces from modern film, television and video games.

There are 40 pieces in total which have been grouped together by film/show/game to make up 18 tracks with an additional 4 Innuendo productions mixed in as well. I don't know whether it's the fact that January is a depressing month with everybody skint, the dark days or the cold weather but the dark matter is definitely in abundance in CR with 15 fresh and twisted tracks. We start with a progressive breaks track forthcoming as part of a 3 track EP on DSUK next month and go deeper underground with a mixture of melodic tech and psy breaks with occasional breaks to lure you into a false sense of security. Sporadic flutters of melodic aim to shed a bit of light before ending with some uplifting electro-infused tracks.

Hey everyone,

This is the final show of the year and I truly feel that it's been a great year for breaks. The fact many of my shows this year have been extended to beyond the usual hour broadcast is a testament to this so long may it continue! With that in mind, to round things off this month, we've got the usual mix of fresh breaks of all types including an extra 35 minutes or so that wasn't broadcast. The first 30 minutes or so is a wonderful section of gorgeous, melodic and progressive breaks which gradually get harder and more dancefloor-orientated before plunging into a deep, dark chasm of twisted technology. Finally we close with some banging, old-skool influenced tracks.

We begin with wonderful melodic, progressive breaks tracks which make way for a middle section of twisted technology and fat dark bass. This is the 20th show and happily there are lots of great breaks around this month, we've definitely been spoilt for choice! With that in mind, my show this month is extended to 20 tracks (only 11 were broadcast) as there was so much I wanted to play! A great diverse mix as always, starting with some nice, classic sounding progressive breaks tracks and moving gradually towards some wicked, dark melodic breaks . From here we step it up a notch with some more dancefloor-orientated, uplifting breaks, which continue right though to some absolute "ravey" bangers! Finally we come full circle with some mellow, melodic tracks bringing the set to a close.

This month we have the usual diverse mix of breaks on show, with a wonderful collection of the freshest breaks around. As always we start with some progressive tracks which move on into the deeper and darker side of breaks, combined with a couple of dancehall influenced tracks (including an oldie from 2005 I just had to pull out of the bag) ending with some insane, raging and uplifting electro breaks tracks and finally a couple of prog/dubstep tracks which I decided to play as I'm really feeling them at the moment. There have been some really great breaks coming out this month and once again I've tried to include them all in my mix! This mix also contains and extra 9 tracks that weren't broadcast :) (I'm started to forget when I actually just did an hour!) This month there is definitely a game of two halves going on. In the 1st hour there are some really nice progressive breaks moving into more stompy yet equally as melodic territory. Towards the end we have some banging, slightly dark tracks which introduce just enough to funk to see our the 2nd hour with some wicked, more electro tracks to get you moving! Be warned it gets pretty raging towards the end! This mix also contains new cuts from my label DSUK :) The 2 BreakZhead tracks (along with the original) are out now in all your favourite download stores and the "Nightshade" remixes will be out 3rd August along with a Nemmotronic Mix :)

Not that I'm complaining at all, but there is a crazy amount of quality melodic breaks out at the moment, every month just gets better and better long may it continue! So with that being said here is a 2 hour mix for you including 10 tracks that weren't broadcast.

We start with a couple of gorgeous progressive tunes, then go deeper with some melodic tech stuff, stop off at a very dark place and the final hour is a collection of great uplifting electro and harder bassline breaks. Cosmic Refractions #12 on DanceRadioGlobal 17-2-2010

Hey everyone,

This month I’ve crammed in 15 tracks to 60 minutes of breakbeat bliss, showcasing as always the finest and freshest cuts of the moment. As always, we begin with some wonderful melodies, including 2 fantastic remixes by East Café and Aeron Aether of two Evave originals, all of which are out now on my label Digital Sensation UK. The melodies continue further gradually taking on a darker edge, where tracks of twisted technology reign supreme, introducing us to some incredible deep basslines and blazing beats.

As we move into the second part of the show, and in true Cosmic Refractions style, the tempo is increased to make way for some slamming electro breaks straight outta Russia guaranteed to get you moving! Finally to lead us out we have an old-skool influenced banger coupled with a more mellow and uplifting piano led track of the same ilk, culminating with my new Shiloh remix which will be out 9th March on Polytechnic.

As always, the show was a pleasure to do for you all and a huge thank you for your continued support. Hello everybody!

This is the final Cosmic Refractions of the year and I personally think some of the best breaks I've ever heard have been released this year, and I'm very excited about all the new producers and labels that have sprung up in 2009 - big things for 2010! This month there have been some wonderful progressive breaks tunes released by some of the top names in the business - all of which make up the first half of my set. Some exclusive remixes you might not have heard before from Abdomen Burst, Retroid and Karton. There's also one forthcoming on Digital Sensation UK from Llupa which will be released early in the new year. Towards the middle, all these gorgeous melodic tunes begin to delve a bit deeper into the sound of wonderfully twisted technology, before leading out with some old-skool influenced electro and harder bassline tracks. I hope you have enjoyed the series so far this year and it will of course continue throughout 2010 and I hope you can all listen along once again. Enjoy!

Hey everyone! Another month and another Cosmic Refractions! At the new time of every 3rd Wednesday 2-3 GMT, this month I have some banging tunes to share with you all. As always, we begin with the melodics – which gradually get harder with fantastic remixes from Line of Sight and Oleg Zubkov on upcoming release “Mystery” on my Digital Sensation UK label. Hello everyone,

I’m pleased to showcase my freshly re-branded show “Cosmic Refractions” on DanceRadioGlobal which, aside from still being the first place to hear the finest and freshest cutting-edge futuristic and melodic breaks, will now give everybody a chance to hear the hottest promos from my new label Digital Sensation UK.

Many of you will already be familiar with the show but for those that aren’t here’s a brief rundown:

Cosmic Refractions is a monthly show on www.danceradioglobal.com presented by Duane Barry. Sharing the schedules with the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules, Eelke Kleijn and many more key industry figures, the show is a wonderful eclectic mix of melodic breaks from progressive, nuskool, electro, vocal and old-skool and will always strive to bring you the newest tracks around from the finest labels in the business.

The show is broadcast every 4th Sunday of the month 2-3pm GMT and is available to download for free shortly after. Downloads are offered as a direct mp3 link, a SoundCloud link (where you can listen in full and/or download) and a torrent file. It is also available as a podcast which you can subscribe to by copying and pasting the link below into your podcast manager.

This month we open with a beautiful and epic remix from Abdomen Burst, forthcoming on Morphosis and continue the gorgeous progressive breaks with new tracks and remixes from Monojoke, Helbot, The Emissary and Retroid. The basslines are then upped for the next section of the mix with wicked tracks from BSD, BreakZhead, DaVIP and an insane Eshericks remix. Finally we end with a unreleased few vocal tracks and close the show with an original of mine. Hey everyone! First off, let me please just say a big thank you to everyone who listened in to the show broadcast on Sunday. It was by far the most popular show so far in terms of listeners and thanks also to those who left me messages after the show, I love hearing from you all!

This month, the sub genre-splitting Cosmic Refractions features, as always, the freshest breaks around, along with a few promos and exclusives and, in this case, a bit of a classic track as well. In the usual fashion, the mix starts of with some wonderful progressive tracks, including an exclusive from Retroid and a world exclusive first play of a new remix I’ve done, due out in a few months on Hungarian label Liquid Surface. We then go into indie-breaks territory and proceed with some harder bassline, electro and funky breaks, making way finally towards the end with some uplifting 4/4 tracks (with a hint of breaks!). Hey everyone, A great selection this month of weird and wonderful sounds and, in true Cosmic Refractions fashion, the tracks range from melodic progressive breaks straight through to the harder more electro sounding breaks which we prove impossible to sit still to.

The mix begins with some gorgeous tracks, with great progressive remixes from the likes of Helbot, Oleg Zubkov and Retroid before a brief interlude like the calm before a storm... The second part of the mix is packed with full on jump up tracks (although equally as uplifting), including 2 exclusive new tracks from 4Kuba. I've also included a world exclusive first play of my remix of Dylan Warren's new single "Valhalla" (forthcoming on Progressive Grooves) and finally we end with a brilliant breaks interpretation of The Killers' track "Human".

Hey everyone, I'm pleased to present the second installment of my Cosmic Refractions radio show broadcast on DanceRadioGlobal. A selection of my favourite tunes of the month, the hour starts with some beautiful melodies courtesy of East Cafe and Coalesced remixes and an exclusive track from Abdomen Burst forthcoming on Silk Digital.

Afterwards we descend into some harder tracks with stomping beats and basslines before continuing with the progressive edge with a new track from myself, a stunning remix by Retroid and the hugely popular cheesy but great "Guestlist" track! [March 2009] Guest Mix On Frisky Radio For The Genre Show w/DJKiRA

Here's a 60 minute guest mix I did last month on Frisky Radio for The Genre Show with Kira. Inspired by the experimental and no limits nature of the show, I crafted this mix with tunes that have darkness as well as light and that have a wonderful deep atmosphere to them. It features some great fresh music from some of the finest in breaks and progressive breaks and it goes a bit deeper than I would usually go but I hope you all enjoy this hypnotic blend of contemporary electronica.

Hi everyone, As you may know, my Cosmic Refractions mix series has evolved into its own radio show on www.danceradioglobal.com (formerly danceradio.gr) and it's with great pleasure I present the debut show!

This was originally broadcast on 22nd March 2009 and continues the premise of my original mix series to showcase the best and freshest melodic breaks tracks around with exclusives and promos included as well as new talent from up and coming breaks producers. This months mix is a great combination of gorgeous melodies, heart-stopping basslines and the usual of what you can expect from me of the finest futuristic electronia.

[March 2009] Duane Barry Breakonomics World Exclusive Guest Mix

Hi everyone, Here's is a mix I did last Sunday for the world famous Breakonomics show on RTE Pulse DAB Radio in Ireland. I wanted to create something very special for this mix so you can expect the usual progressive breaks with some gorgeous melodies and awesome basslines, as well as some electro, glitchy, techy and vocal elements chucked in.

There's an exclusive remix by me in there which no-one would have heard before of Phrakture's "Before The Rain" with some other mostly fresh tracks. Some tracks I've included before in my sets from last year but they fit very well with the whole atmosphere of the set so I've included them again! Also, the flack.su remix of Retroid's awesome "Everyday Hero" track has been played heavily so I've layered an old Dizzee Rascal acappella over the top to give it something a bit different!
